Erling Torvits was born in Brande Denmark 1925 and graduated as a cabinetmaker 1944. From there he went to Copenhagen and worked at the AJ Iversen workshop in Copenhagen before moving Herning Jutland where He set up a small design studio where he was very active for many smaller furniture manufactures all around the country - mainly focusing on cabinets and chairs. Our Sushi series is one of his few but succcesful upholstery furniture he made during his career.
